Shanghai Haihua Shipping Co., Ltd.（Hereafter abbreviated as HASCO） was founded in May, 1989 under the approval of the Ministry of Communications. In July, 2000, Shanghai Port Container Co., Ltd. purchased 88.5% of shares of HASCO; In June 2006, Shanghai Port Container Co. Ltd. increased her capital investment in HASCO to reach a level of 100% of share ownership. And then in Sep 2006, the share swap of SPC by Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd.（Hereafter abbreviated as SIPG）put in practice, which made HASCO a whole holding company of SIPG. HASCO is primarily engaged in container liner service and the scope of business of enterprises it has invested in covers shipping agency, freight forwarding agency, Yangtze River and coastal feeder service, container leasing and seaman’s labor service etc.

Since her establishment in 1989, HASCO has won a good reputation for the punctual schedule, reasonable price and high-quality service in the international shipping market. With about 20 years of market experiences and achievement of maturity in shipping line operations, HASCO has developed from her initial running of the Shanghai-Hong Kong service into a container liner service network centering in Shanghai and radiating to about 20 ports of Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Vietnam and Thailand etc.
